MacDoodle is the baby of Sarah J. Paterson. With a background in newspaper and magazine journalism and design, Sarah's passion for design and social media led to her completing several social media, content and digital marketing diplomas. She also studied Public Relations.
Sarah is passionate (and slightly OCD) about effective branding and consistent brand implementation, as well as community development and upliftment. She holds the voluntary position of Public Image Chair for Rotary District 9370, where she is responsible for leading and overseeing the efforts of about 1 500 Rotarians in brand management, implementation and development, as well as the reputation management and social media of the district, which covers south-eastern South Africa and Lesotho.
A skilled professional with many hats, Sarah has a deep love for the written word. She has edited and published the books of independent authors (print and e-book publishing), manages the marketing of internationally-acclaimed body language and leadership speaker, David Allen, and recently celebrated 10 years of editing Rotary Africa, the Rotary regional magazine for Sub-Saharan Africa.
When she is not busy working, speaking at training events and conferences, volunteering on a number of committees or indulging her passion for photography, Sarah is being consistently ignored by her young son and grumpy basset hound.
